Heavenly Creatures

A freestanding totem that rises from a black plinth to almost two metres. Faces and creature fragments are stacked from base to crown in flat blocks of cobalt, terracotta, violet, yellow and black and white checks. Profiles, single eyes, beaks and striped tails alternate as you look up, so the column reads differently from every side. It borrows the form of the totem pole and fills it with the artist's playful graphic vocabulary.
