The densest of the wood pieces. Scores of small characters (smiling faces, crowned heads, birds, fish and checkered blocks) are cut and layered so their edges stand proud of the surface, creating a true relief with visible depth. Deep blues, greens and browns are balanced by bright yellows and pinks. It reads as a crowded, joyful community where every figure has found its place.
