Touching the Tree

Touching the Tree is an original acrylic on canvas painting by Dubai-based Lebanese artist Ihab Ahmad. On a calm periwinkle blue ground, a compact group of shapes surrounds a crowned eye with a striped blue face. An open white hand reaches upward, a green striped tree with a brown trunk stands at the right, and a black and white checkerboard sits at the centre. The painting reflects a theme that runs through the artist’s work: the bond between people and nature. At 55 x 65 cm it is an ideal size for a first acquisition, and it is available from the studio in Dubai.
