The Gathering

The Gathering is a hand-painted wood sculpture by Dubai-based Lebanese artist Ihab Ahmad. In a crisp palette of cobalt blue, red, white and black, cut-out shapes overlap like guests arriving at a celebration. A watchful eye, a small fish, a checkerboard, polka dots and fine striped patterns appear across the layers, each outlined in black. The restrained colours give the piece a fresh, graphic character that sets it apart from his multicoloured works. Made in 2026 in acrylic on wood and measuring 10 x 40 x 36 cm, it stands on a white base and is available directly from the artist’s studio in Dubai.
